Tomorrow is World Stroke Day. Would you know the signs?
F: Face drooping. Does one side droop when the person smiles?
A: Arm weakness. Does one arm drift down when both are raised?
S: Speech difficulty. Is speech slurred or strange?
T: Time to call 9-1-1.
Other sudden signs include numbness on one side, confusion, vision trouble, loss of balance and a severe headache with no known cause. Call an ambulance even if the symptoms go away, and note the time they started.
